We provide trainings, strategy sessions, and technical assistance to help our partners better understand local budgeting processes and support racial justice budget advocacy.
The “magic” of the Budget Power Project cohort is in peer learning: case studies from numerous campaigns across the state are reviewed at every BPP meeting for partners to learn about each other’s work. The successes and challenges inspire innovation among their peers.
How is this power building achieved?
STATEWIDE WEBINARS:
- Provide an in-depth understanding of local and state budget processes.
- Update on ongoing budget developments inform real-time action.
- Participants share the results of analyses and build tactical capacity to advocate for those they serve.
FUNDING RACIAL JUSTICE:
- A 6-week “train the trainers”-style budget advocacy training to develop strategies to advance regional budget equity.
